I wanted to go ahead and write a couple short paragraphs about some major goings-on with the club just so that everyone is informed.

To begin, our lovely Vice President Stephanie Hughes has been forced to step down from office due to personal reasons. She served the club well and will be dearly missed. We send her best wishes in all future endeavors. She will continue to remain a club member and provide advice and help as needed. Tricia Beaver was recommended by Presidential appointment and approved to assume office by the Board of Directors. Tricia has been breeding, raising, and showing rabbits for years and I believe she will be an asset to the club and the officer team. Tricia will assume the office for the remainder of the current VP term (through 2021). Please offer her a warm welcome and don’t hesitate to reach out to her or any of your other officers with questions, comments, or concerns regarding the club.

Secondly, I would like to say a big fat THANK YOU and CONGRATULATIONS to the GSFRB Show Committee, as well as the entire GSFRB club…the National Silver Fox Rabbit Club (NSFRC) announced today that our bid for 2021 Silver Fox nationals was accepted via vote by the national board! GSFRB, in conjunction with the North West Georgia Cavy & Rabbit Club, will be hosting 2021 Silver Fox nationals at the Dalton Triple Show, March 6, 2021. We are so looking forward to it! More news regarding this to come.

Lastly, this is a reminder to all club members that our next general membership meeting will be held on Saturday, March 7, during lunch/intermission at the Dalton Triple show. Even if you aren’t showing, please make every effort to make it to the meeting as we will be discussing future shows and business. We want all of our members to have the opportunity to provide input and stay informed about the club, and this can only happen if you attend our meetings. Hope to see everyone there!

GSFRB President
